New Delhi: The four-month-old Social Democratic Party of India was dedicated to the people of India as a national political party yesterday at its first national delegates meet attended by hundreds of state representatives from across the country besides some prominent personalities of the Muslim and Hindu community.

Newdelhi: Today, on 18th October 2009, we are in an auspicious occasion of dedicating a new national political party to the people of India. It was on 21st June 2009, the humble formation of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) took place in a hotel room in New Delhi, participated by 22 persons representing different States. On July 29, after just 39 days, when formally declared the new party before the mediain New Delhi, the member strength of the organization has grown from 22 to 60,000.

Calicut: Popular Front of India demanded the Central Government to make arrangements to include the caste of the citizens during the Census 2011 operations.

The National Workshop on Muslim Reservation exhaustively examined all the aspects pertaining to the issue of educational and employment quota reservation to Muslims. About 150 delegates from all parts of India, deliberated the issue in different sessions and unanimously approved the following resolutions. 1) All the available data including the findings of committees and study groups appointed by the Central and State Governments prove that Muslims all over India have not attained adequate representation either in the field of education or in government services.

This National Convention on Reservation in Education is the result of a series of conventions held at Calicut on 4th August 2006, Bangalore on 5th August 2006 and Chennai on 17th August 2006 as a move for social justice by ensuring effective participation of backward classes in the fields of administration and education through reservation as enshrined in the constitution.
