Witch Hunt against Muslims: Thousands Stage Protest Rallies in Kerala

Protesters warned the government, police and media who are trying to target Muslims and malign them and their organization of dire consequences if they continue their witch hunt. It was Popular Front of India organized protest marches and public conferences in Kozhikkode, Perumbavoor and Kollam.
The large number of people gathered in three cities gave a clear and loud message to the authorities that their heinous activities against Popular Front of India didn’t affect the popularity of Popular Front of India. Actually the widespread raids in the offices of the organization and houses and institutions of its activists in the name of investigation into a local incident have shown the general public the true color of police and authorities.
The protest rally at Kozhikkode started from near Corporation stadium and concluded on the beach. Popular Front of India national general secretary K M Shareef inaugurated the public meeting. Nasaruddeen Elamaram, state president chaired the programme. National council member Prof. P Koya also addressed the gathering.
The protest march in Kollam started from Shanker’s Hospital premise and concluded Peeranky stadium here. State general secretary P Abdul Hameed inaugurated the public conference here. Vice president Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, Moovattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi also spoke.
The public meeting at Peumbavoor was inaugurated by Popular Front chairman E M Abdul Rahman. National council member Moideen Kutty Faizee, state council member V K Shoukathali also addressed the gathering.
Protesters raised slogans against the police-media conspiracy to tarnish the image of Popular Front, a neo-social organization that is gaining strength in the different states of India. They also vowed to continue their protest against state terrorism and sheer discriminations against Muslims.
