A Vasu speaks at Koodankulam protest site

Koodankulam: Leaders of National Confederation of Human Rights Organisations (NCHRO) visited Koodankulam protest site to express solidarity to the ongoing agitation against nuclear plant here.
It was the leaders of Kerala and Tamilnadu chapters of NCHRO visited the site and promised all the help for the protesters.
Speaking on the occasion the leaders warned of dire consequences if the central and state governments go ahead with the proposed nuclear plants endangering the lives of thousands in the area. They also said that the organisation that is in the fore front of fights to protect the people from state aggressions across the country would fight also against this human rights violation.
NCHRO Kerala chapter leaders A Vasu, Reni Ilin, N M Siddeeq, A M Shanawas and Tamilnadu chapter leaders Adv. Abbas and Najmuddeen also were part of the delegation that visited the site.
After the solidarity speech by A Vasu, artists staged veriety of programmes also. Hundreds of people gathered the scene to recive the NCHRO delegation.
Civil rights activists Dr. Udaya Kumar, Mano Thankaraj, Lajpat Rai, Thirunavukkaras, anti nuke plant fighter and scientist V T Padmanabhan, SDPI Tamilnadu president Dahlan Baqavi, general secretary Nellai Mubarak, Popular Front Tamilnadu president Ismail, secretary R E Faisal, Campus Front Tamilnadu secretary Raja Muhammed also followed the NCHRO delegation.
