Kozhikkode: Will communal harmony of the country be disturbed when Hindutwa terrorism is exposed, asked P Abdul Hameed, Kerala state general secretary of Popular Front of India. The question was in the backdrop events in which police arrested some activists of Popular Front for sticking posters which expose RSS involvement in the recent terror attacks in the country. The poster was widely distributed all over the country as part of Popular Front's 'Save India Day' campaign on 9th of this month. The campaign with the slogan 'Fight Fascism, Defeat Terrorism' is meant uncover the real face of terrorism perpetrated by Hindutwa forces including RSS.

Abdul Hameed condemned the arrest of Popular Front activists in this regard. It's clear case of injustice and discrimination, he added.

The investigation agencies in the country have already found that the Hindutwa organisations have direct involvement in the 10 bomb blasts occurred in 7 states of the country within last 4 years. What Popular Front's poster was saying is nothing but this naked truth.

These communal forces have planned and executed blasts in the Muslim pockets like Ajmer, Malegaon, Mecca Masjid etc in order to upset the country's peace and tranquility. Moreover every where innocent Muslim youths were caught and tortured by the police in connection with these blasts. And Popular Front has come out with this campaign when the hands of Hindutwa forces behind these blasts came to the fore. The police and state government should clarify how exposing Hindutwa terrorism including RSS would disturb communal harmony of the country.

When all others were using the word of ‘Islamic Terrorism’, we haven’t used 'Hindu terrorism', why because we are damn particular that the Sanghparivar terrorism should not be linked to the Hindu religion. Instead, we use Hindutwa terrorism to denote fascists extremism in the country. Hindutwa is a political terminology exclusively meant for sanghparivar activists.

Abdul Hameed also alleged that this bizarre attitude from the part of police was nothing but the result of CPM’s new found love affair with hindutwa forces with an eye on coming elections.
