Goa: Popular Front Celebrates Independence Day
Popular Front of India, Goa Celebrated The 63rd Independence Day by hoisting the National Flag at the Hands of its President Mr. Sayed Iftiyaz Opp. Alpha Corner, Chandorvaddo, Fatorda- Goa at 9.00 AM Followed by Speeches of the invited dignitaries.
The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Caitano Barbosa, Ex-councillor Margao Municipal Council appreciated the efforts of Popular Front of India, Goa in Nation Building and he also called upon the public to join hands with PFI in serving the Society in True Spirit.
The Guest of Honour was Mr.Shaikh Abdul Razzak a Retired PSI, He Reminded the public of the Freedom Struggle of India and also of Goa.
The Special dignitary, Mufti Mohammed Hanif Ahrar Speaking on the occasion said Muslims; especially clerics had played a pivotal role in freedom struggle of India. In 1857, the first battle of Independence has witnessed the Killings of thousands of Aalims, Maulana’s and Muftis who were the guiding force along with Tatya Tope, Rani Laxmibai and Others.The President of PFI Goa, Sayed Iftiyaz Called upon the People Present to be in forefront to fight Issues Plaging the Society and to celebrate the true spirit of freedom with all Indians .
The General Secretary, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rauf thanked all the dignitaries, People present on the Occasion Called them to extend their support the activities of Popular Front of India.
Books, Pens and Sweets were distributed to the students, which numbered more than 100.
