Kozhikkode: Freedom Parade by Popular Front of India will be held in four districts of Kerala, said Nasaruddeen Elamaram, state president. The parade which was being organised by the Popular Front on Independence Day will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur and Wayanadu- four districts in which no ban was declared against it. In other districts of Kerala Freedom Parade was banned by the collectors citing law and order problems.
Though the parade was scheduled to be held earlier at seven centers in Kerala, it was decided to cut short the programme into four places due to the ban orders.
Last day, Karnataka High court had granted permission to hold Freedom Parade in Mysore and Uduppi, though the state government and police had taken stands against it.
