Flying start for Popular Front Public Health Campaign in Kerala

Karamana Ashraf Moulavi inaugurates public conference which was organised by Popular Frotn as part of public health campaign at Palakkadu
Inaugurating the campaign Indian football player Abdul Hakeem flagged off the marathon organised with the aim of spreading the message among the people. The marathon which began from Municipal Stadium premise at 4 was attended by scores of people and it ended at Manjakkulam.
The public conference at Manjakkulam was inaugurated by state president of Popular Front Karamana Ashraf Moulavi. He reminded that healthy people would be invaluable asset of a nation. Instead of working towards this aim, people are ignoring this vital aspect of public health. The disease prone atmosphere has become grave social concern in the country. The growth of super specialty hospitals is not indicative of development. Now the life style diseases have become great threat in our society. He also said that the fast food culture and the lack of proper physical exercises were the reason behind those problems. Be it blood pressure, heart attack, sugar complaints, the main villain behind all these are unscientific food patterns and undisciplined life. He also said that Popular Front has initiated the public health campaign to make the people of the country aware of this social menace.

Welcome committee convener M Abdussamad, Dr. C H Ashraf, T Abdul Rahman Baqavi, K K Husain, socker star Abdul Hakeem, Mr. Kerala, Najeeb, SDPI Palakkad district president E S Khaja Husain, Popular Front district president K M Abdul Jaleel, Trissur district president M Farooq also spoke.
During 10 day long campaign, various health awareness programmes will be held across the city. Cleaning programmes, yoga classes will also be held at unit, area levels. On 19th of this month various health programmes will be organised throughout the state.
