Under the auspices of this trust, for the last 28 years we have been undertaking many social activities and Dawa work. Since 1993 we have continued our activities in a well organized manner. Alhamdulillah.
Our special focus in on introducing Islam to those of other faiths living around us and in providing Islamic education to the newly reverted Muslims through the two Islamic Education centers, run by the trust. Some of our other activities are…
1. Inviting people towards Islam:
In our efforts to spread the message of Islam to the thousands of villages of Tamil Nadu, we conduct dawa tours to villages. In yester years we introduced Islam to 300 villages per year. By the grace of Allah Almighty, last year alone, we had reached more than 1050 villages. We had met more than 25,000 people of which 973 people accepted Islam, Alhamdulillah.
2. Arivagam for Men:
Started in 1996 in Muthuthevanpatti village of Theni district, this center has imparted basic Islamic education to 2475 students. The course is conducted in a batch of 40 students and the amount spent on each student during their 4 month training period is Rs.7,000/=.
3. Arivagam for Women:
Started in 2003 in Eruvadi of Nellai district, till date 675 Women’s have benefited through the 4 month course offered in this center which is run in a rented building. To construct its own building, land has been purchased and construction is in progress. Completion is awaiting financial support.
4. Women’s Care Center:
Women in our society face numerous problems, surpassing boundaries of cast, creed or social status. Our community is no exception. To protect sisters betrayed by their husband or have been victimized by various evils, this women’s care center is being operated for the last 4 years. Through this center, we have conducted more than 80 marriages to such sisters. In the last year alone 35 dowry-free marriages have been conducted through our efforts.
5. Estalishment of Masjids and appointment of Imams:
Many Muslim communities especially those reverted to Islam do not have a Masjid in their locality. Realizing this need, we have currently taken up construction of 4 Masajids and 3 other localities Masjid’s urgently. There are also many villages where the Masajids do not have an Imam to conduct prayers. In fulfilling such needs, we are also appointing and sponsoring many Imams for such Masjids
