National Campaign for Muslim Reservation

MARGAO: The Popular Front of India (PFI), in a letter addressed to the state Governor, has demanded implementation of 10% reservation for Muslims in central government jobs and admission to educational institutions as recommended in the justice Ranganath Misra commission report.

The Misra commission report, that was tabled in the last session of the parliament in December 2009, has earmarked 15% of government jobs and seats in educational institutions for minorities, out of which 10 % exclusively for the Muslim community, the PFI pointed out in the memorandum.

Pondichery: Popular Front organises a protest demonstration urging Pondichery Government to implement  Reservation immediately for Muslims.
Protestors raised slogans and questioned the government
"What happened to UPA election manifesto ?" "Dont Betray muslims"
Finally memorandum was submitted after the rally and protest demonstration.

Delhi: Popular Front of India organized Community Leaders Meet on Muslim Reservation in the evening of 2nd May 2010 at Constitution Club, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, participated by delegates from several states.
